This unit wants to help pupils be able to identify their emotions and emotions on others, understand the importance of self-regulation and the meaning of empathy. It is an approach to the “Convivencia” strand, in order to provide basic tools for emotional management and conflict solving.

- To understand the expressions of emotions as a normal and healthy part of life.

- To associate facial expressions to particular emotions.
- To differentiate between emotion and behaviour.
- To differentiate between adequate and inadequate emotional responses.
- To identify methods to manage my own anger and empathise with others, and apply them.
- To understand the word empathy.
- To identify feelings in book characters.
